I love the way you painted this – did you use a brush and did you have to paint it very quickly?

and yes, I used a brush, about a size 12, and yes, I had to paint it fairly quickly as the paper was (although “watercolour” paper) quite absorbent, a bit cardboard-like, so it dried quite quickly and would have left lots of hard edges, also, it was quite a latge sketch, about 18 x 8 inches, so I had a lot of white space to cover before it dried. Mainly though, I really enjoyed painting it
