“Little Mesters” … Sheffield… Famous for Steel …

… my latest painting… Inspired by my Grandmother who worked in the Sheffield steel industry, during World War II. Years later, she often talked about the “little mesters”. My Grandfather served in the RAF. My Grans street was bombed, 1940, many houses destroyed and killing several of her neighbours. My Mum was 4 at the time, remembers how scary it was, but how everyone pulled together, Sheffield-style…

Original watercolour, 40 x 50 cm framed, £295. On show and for sale, Sunday 12th September, at Nether Edge Farmers’ Market, Sheffield S7 1RU….

Thankyou for looking !
