……………….finished from the start made in the Winter Gardens last week (see 20 July).
…….my impressive entomologist colleague has advised me that “Baby Bee” is in fact a Ladybird !! What was I thinking ?? Very Embarassing, but Hugely Funny 🙂
(The clue was in the red/black spots, as opposed to yellow/black stripes – just slightly obvious)
Now renamed BabyBug ………….
…and Cafe Ceres, SharrowVale Road, together with “Bee Baby” (actually spotted in Waitrose).
….my recent lack of painting productivity has been noted ! Not been well 😦
This “Okeh Cafe” watercolour will be on show at Sheffield Winter Gardens (Heeley Art Club Exhibition), starting tuesday 12th July, 11am. (see Upcoming Events for details).
OKeh Cafe – 116 Abbeydale Road, Sheffield – definitely worth a visit !
……and more on the way soon – by popular demand (yes, really !) and possibly something even more exotic.
The Fat Cat watercolour sold for over £300 at the Red Cross Auction, more than double its Guide Price. The Auction raised more than £3,000 in total for the British Red Cross.
Thankyou to everyone who bid for The Fat Cat, and to the lucky winner, who placed the winning bid just 2 minutes before the final deadline. Thanks to The Fat Cat pub & brewery for creating the Skinny Catte special beer in honour of the painting, and a Huge Thankyou to the Red Cross, it was a truly impressive event and a privilege to be involved 🙂
