An important painting for me, specially painted as a Thankyou, for everyone who has supported my artwork, over the years, and especially those who have supported my fund-raising, for animals (& also humans !) …

… most recently, Friends of Ferals (Sheffield) who rescue abandoned, homeless and feral cats & kittens, around Sheffield. Truly amazing work day in, day out…..

…more about FoF, here and their latest rescue, “Ledger” found desolate and with broken tail in a run-down industrial part of Sheffield. A life saved.

… A Month of Sundays ? …

… is one of a trio of shop fronts that I have painted several times, over the years, as I love their quirkiness and colours… I also love “Frank” the whippet, painted in giant size !


This latest version was painted 2 years ago and having enjoyed it myself, the original watercolour painting is now on exhibition and up for sale (details below).

… yes, it’s Hickmott Road. A row of shops that has a unique vibe. Friendly and keeping upbeat, through the pandemic. The food shops and takeaways are open, please call by and support them…
… here is my watercolour of the full stretch – 12 shops & cafe’s, and a wall overlooking the River Porter (Porter Brook) ….

…its special because I rarely take on commissions, but this for a special person who helps rescue cats and we agreed that my fee will be donated to Friends of Ferals, a charity in Sheffield who work tirelessly, 365 days a year, to feed, care for and rescue/rehome cats living rough, in often dangerous places ….

“2.6” …..

…my painting for the “2.6 Challenge”…

Today would have been the famous London Marathon, which many Charities rely on, for their annual fund-raising. However, the Marathon obviously cannot take place due to Covid19.

The 2.6 Challenge attempts to raise funds for Charities in the UK, who are badly hit by the coronavirus, as their fund-raising activities shrink, to zero, and many may not survive at all …..
